Since October 2025, EU countries have implemented a new border control and management system. This apply to third-country nationals travelling to one of the 29 EU member states for a short stay.
The rollout will take place over six months, so not all passenger details may be collected immediately during this time. After that period, the EES will be fully operational at all border crossing controls.
