If you decide not to travel, find out every thing you need to know about changes and refunds.
Check the change and refund conditions depending on whether your flight has been disrupted or your plans have changed:
If your flight is cancelled or delayed by more than five hours and you decide not to fly, you can claim a refund voucher that you'll receive instantly to use for future purchases with Iberia. You can also process the refund as cash returned to the payment method you used to make your booking. This process will take seven business days or longer in periods of high demand. Once your request has been processed, the money will take up to 30 days to reach your account, depending on the bank. You should contact your bank if it doesn't reach your account within that time.
If you bought your ticket with Avios, they will be returned to your Iberia Club account.
Regardless of the type of refund you choose, you must claim it through:
1. Our WhatsApp channel: write Claim refund and follow the steps; or
If you want to cancel your flight and claim a refund for the price of the ticket, or if you want to change the date or time, you can do so if you chose a flexible fare in any of the Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins, or if you added Flexible Ticket as an extra. Fares with restrictions don't allow refunds or changes, or if they do there is a penalty fee.
For tickets purchased on iberia.com, check the refund conditions in Manage your booking or call our Booking offices. For tickets purchased through an agency, contact them directly.
If you claimed your refund by phone through our Customer Service Call Centre, you can check the status of your claim through Refund claim tracker.
If you claimed it from the travel agency through which you made the booking, contact them to find out the status of your claim.
Important: Management fees are non-refundable unless you claim a refund due to a flight delay, cancellation and/or flexible booking in markets within the European Union.
