Hello, how can I help you?

Is it possible to travel with a minor in different cabins (business/tourist)?

You and your child can travel on the same flight in different cabins, but you should always take the following into consideration:

- The minor must be 5 years of age or more.
- For safety reasons, your child will be treated on the flight as an "unaccompanied minor UM" (from 5 to 8 years) which means there is a limited number of places for UMs on board, so the case may arise that at the time of the flight there are no free UM places left, which would mean that it was impossible for them to travel in that cabin.
- Although they are treated as "UM" on the flight, and Iberia is responsible for carrying the minor, the adult passenger will continue to be responsible for their health, well-being and behaviour at all times.
- Minors travelling in tourist class may enter the VIP room as sole companions of an Iberia Plus Gold or Platinum customer.

If the child is over the age of 12, they will not require any special procedure and you can make the booking individually by selecting the desired cabin.
