What is the residency subsidy?

This is a 50% (75% on inter-island flights whose tickets were issued on or after 29 June 2017) discount on the cost of the regular air transport services, granted by the Spanish government. These discounts will be applied to Spanish citizens and citizens of other member states of the European Union or other States that are members of the European Economic Area, who can prove that they are resident in the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla and who are travelling between their place of residency and any other part of Spanish national territory.

The valid documentation to prove residence in non-Peninsula territory (both for Spanish nationals and those of the European Economic Area and Switzerland), will be the Residence Certificate issued by the City Council or Town Hall where the passenger is registered on the electoral roll.

Remember that you must present your valid Residence Certificate for the trip, at check-in or before boarding (as well as your National Identity Document to check the identity of the beneficiary) more information
